There is no one who has escaped the magic that Walt Disney spun by way of his films and characters. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Cinderella, Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit, Pluto, Pete, Cinderella, Princess Aurora…the list is endless. The pioneer behind them all and the recipient of many awards, Mr. Walter Disney’s birthday is celebrated across the world as ‘Walt Disney Day’. We, at MRIS 21C Faridabad,   celebrated it with great enthusiasm. The day began with the teachers wearing Mickey and Minnie Mouse headgears to welcome the children to class, which raised the excitement level of the children at the outset of the day itself. The teachers talked to the children about who Walt Disney was and asked them who their favourite Disney character. It was delightful to hear the responses of the children and their reasons for a character being their favourite. The children and teachers together watched some all-time favourite Walt Disney movies such as Pinocchio, Snow White and the seven dwarfs, Fantasia, Bambi to name a few.  Learning and development are the objectives behind all that we do, and so we couldn’t let this opportunity pass by without a Creative Writing session, wherein the children expressed their thoughts, by way of writing, about Walt Disney movies, characters and why they love them so much.
