MEDIA SHALA

Is a first of its kind media curriculum in schools that prepares future ready youth. Our objective is

  • To create a community of creative students who excel at the Art of Storytelling in whatever career they choose to pursue
  • To build Aware, Responsible, Confident & future ready youth possessing analytical abilities & a creative bent of mind
  • To empower students to understand the impact & intricacies of various types of mass media

 Under this unique programme, in an academic year, students are introduced to the following verticals – JOURNALISM, NEWS REPORTING & BLOGGING, ANCHORING, FILMMAKING AND PHOTOGRAPHY.

During the course of the year students undertake projects such as:

  1. Making a short film (ideating, scripting, storyboarding, shooting and editing)
  2. A Photography portfolio (mixed genres between nature, portrait and product)
  3. Stop Motion filmmaking
  4. Writing Blogs
  5. Creating Vlogs or short video production
  6. Learning the art of anchoring & reporting and recording a clip on a chroma setup
  7. Light Painting
  8. Music video production (planning, shoot & edit)

To ensure our students learn in the most advanced & a futuristic technology backed environment, we have brand new state-of-the-art hub/studio which is equipped with high performance PCs, RTX 2060 graphics cards, Wacom One tablets, Sony A753 cameras, lights and chroma setup – each of this is handpicked carefully to give our students an immersive experience. The Media Shala classes take place in the hub. In addition to lab experiences, students are given field trips to ensure an experiential journey.

Our instructors are all industry experts, some of whom have put in close to 2 decades in leading national & international media houses and brands. Along with exciting projects & field visits, our students attend guest talks from time to time either virtual or in physical mode. It is a pleasure to see students explore and challenge themselves through these programmes
