MRIS Charmwood hosted Faculty Development Programme for the PGTs of MRIS Sector14, MRIS Noida and MRIS Charmwood recently. The main objective of the session was to hone the skills of educators to cater to the modern-day students.
The session was graced by Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Manav Rachna University, Dr. I.K. Bhat; Honourable Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS, Dr. Sanjay Srivastava along with Dr. Amit Seth- Director Admissions, Mr. Gautam Srivastava- Head, Career Development Centre; Dr. Geeta R. Mr. Gautam Srivastava gave a crisp and clear introduction to the MRIS’ newly launched ‘Centre for Skill Development’ and its noble vision. He further reminded the educators of their great responsibility of nurturing the young students in such a way that they will never leave any stone unturned and will undoubtedly realize the dream of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
Dr. I.K. Bhat enlightened the teachers about the latest learner-oriented pedagogy and various strategies that a teacher can adopt in order to carry out the mission of creating global citizens in the classroom. He reiterated the fact that the role of today’s teacher in the classroom is just a facilitator.
Dr. Sanjay Srivastava took over the podium to list certain key traits such as simplicity, genuineness, etc. a teacher should possess in order to become a role model for the students. He not only regaled the participants with his well-placed witty examples but made sure that his speech was thought provoking as well.
The session ended on high note with the nation builders’ pledge to put their heart and soul in the making of the mighty future India. The session was highly enlightening and well-synchronised.
