In continuation with its objective of providing the best facility to the students, MRIS, Ludhiana organised a ‘Dental Check-up and Awareness Camp’ in the school campus. A team of Senior Specialist Dentists and para-medical staff from Christian Dental College carried out a comprehensive dental check-up for the students of EY- Grade VIII. The purpose behind the camp was to initiate dental awareness, educate students about common oral problems and give a special focus on tooth decay and gums diseases. The team of dentists also informed students about the measures to prevent dental problems and stay on top of their oral health in every season.

The students were guided and counseled about the eating patterns and food choices which cause tooth decay. “Added sugars are present in soft drinks, candies, cookies, pastries and therefore to help control the consumption of sugar, one must read the food labels and choose the right foods and beverages that are low in added sugar”, the dental surgeons informed the students. The team of renowned doctors: Dr. Sumir Gandhi, Dr. Vivek Vardhan and Dr. Natasha Gandhi were felicitated by Dr. Rajinder Trehan, Dr. Roopali Trehan, Director, MRIS, Ludhiana and Ms. Anju Dhawan, Principal, MRIS-Ludhiana for rendering moral and selfless service to the school and making students’ conscious of the various dental hazards.
