Exploring and experiencing nature in itself is a wonderful activity………
Every walk is an opportunity for children to learn about the natural world and there is always something new to explore. To make the children aware of the importance of plants, they were taken for a walk around the school garden, where they observed different kinds of plants. They also learnt about the things required for the plants to grow – soil, water and sunlight. Children were explained the importance of nature and how we save our environment.
An activity was also conducted to enhance the listening and recalling skills of the children, in which they sat in a circle with their eyes closed and were asked to listen carefully to the sounds they could hear. After this, they had to open their eyes and explain what they could hear. The whole concept was extremely interesting for the children. It was a great opportunity to spend time together in the lap of nature.
