Visual Motor Skills or eye-hand coordination is a complex cognitive ability to track the movements of the hands with the eyes, thus enabling the eyes to send important signals to the brain about hand movement.
To develop and enhance fine motor skills and attention span in children with special needs, different activities such as activity using abacus, lacing activity, placement of different bindis to identify shapes and colors were conducted in the classroom by Special Education Needs (SEN) Department of MRIS, Noida. Children thoroughly enjoyed all the activities and it also gave them a chance to break the monotony of regular classes and got them involved in a fruitful and interesting learning experience with the special educator.
