Hindi Divas Celebration 2020

“Hindi is the soul of Indian culture.”

Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana celebrated Hindi Divas on 14th September, 2020 with a myriad of activities. The day unfolded with a Special Virtual Assembly to celebrate and enlighten the students with the significance of the day. The highlights of the assembly were- Role play on the life and achievements of Late Munshi Prem Chand, one of the most celebrated writer of the Indian subcontinent, a beautifully woven compilation of Idioms in the form of a story, famous Dohe by Sant Kabir which are a source of inspiration since ancient times, and a motivational poem with the central idea that life is full of challenges, despite of that the spirit to rise and shine should always be held high by the soul, body and mind.

The students of Grade Nursery-II competed with each other by displaying their creativity and command over Hindi in ‘Dikhao aur Batao Competition’. They spoke about their favorite toy/book/cartoon character and shared the reason of it being so dear to them. The students from Grades III-V had a fun full day with the ‘Hasya Kavi Samelan’. The students came up with funny and humorous poems full of wit and wisdom to tickle the funny bone and bring an ear to ear smile on the faces of all present. The winners were awarded with E-Merit Certificates.

In her address to the students, Anju Dhawan, Principal, Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana said that the students should respect the National language. They should work studiously to enhance their linguistic ability and in turn develop a sound hold over it. Their comfort level with the language should be exemplary.
