Space Workshops for Grade I-VIII

“Space exploration is a force of nature unto itself that no other force in society can rival.”

The second session of space workshop was conducted for students of Grade I to VIII at MRIS-51, Gurugram. The theme of the workshop for Grade V to VIII was Hydrobot wherein students learnt about the principle of hydraulics. They did a hands-on activity of making a hydrobot using the space kit provided to them. Students enjoyed the activity and were completely absorbed in the task given to them.

The next workshop was with the students of Grades III & IV who were given information about the food taken by the astronauts during their space missions. Students were divided into separate groups like spice engineers, food engineers etc. for doing the activity. They really enjoyed sorting the food items and preparing the menu for astronauts.

The final workshop on the theme ‘Window to the Universe’ was conducted for Grades I & II. Students learnt the concept with interesting hands-on activities on ‘Universe maze’ and ‘Universe pool’. They asked a lot of questions and thoroughly enjoyed the activity.
