Early Years: Grandparents Day Celebration

“One of the most powerful handclaps is that of a new grandchild around the finger of a grandparent.”

They are the roots which keep us grounded, and they give us wings to soar high. Grandparents are the oasis of unconditional love. The students of Early Years at MRIS-51 showed gratitude to their role models with a 2-day Grandparents’ Day celebration.

The first day of the celebration started with a yoga meditation session, followed by a talent show wherein the grandparents sang heartfelt songs, participated in art and craft activities and poem recitation/writing.

On the second day, the little sweethearts took to the stage and danced. It was a moving moment when the grandparents also recited poems written by them and sang songs. The event would have been incomplete without a traditional storytelling session. Everyone was filled with warmth and admiration for each other.
