A December to Remember

A December to Remember

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world,
and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.”

The Christmas season brings many reasons to celebrate and gather. Joy and gaiety pervaded the atmosphere as the children of Nursery to Grade III of MRIS-51, Gurugram presented a spectacular show “A December to Remember” on the occasion of the world’s most loved and celebrated festival, Christmas. Exciting games, non-stop foot tapping music, photo booth,  joy of giving tree, special presentation by kids and unlimited fun – This event was power packed especially for the parents and their little ones. Principal of the school, Ms Pooja Puri,  emphasized on the real  meaning of Christmas which lies not merely in celebration but more so in giving, sharing, forgiving and loving. The celebrations began with different presentations enacted by children. The significance of the festival was brought about through their acts ‘Holy Night’, ‘Act of Kindness’, ‘Elves and the Shoe Maker’ &, ‘A White Starry Night – a Christmas tale’ which was simply superb. Carols and cheers highlighted the true spirit of Christmas.

There was the jingle bells song done with a jig and got the entire audience singing along. Parents and children had great time playing on game stalls and posing for a photo at photo booth corner. Everyone danced to their heart’s content at the dancing corner. The entry of Santa Claus took everyone by surprise and was the highlight of the event. On this special occasion, parents became the SECRET SANTA for their ward!! They secretly kept the gift under the Christmas tree. After the celebrations, children picked up their gifts and the smile and excitement on their faces was priceless! Students donated the books for children staying in orphanage by keeping them under the ‘Joy of Giving’ tree.  It was an enthralling and awesome Christmas celebration.
