Clan Competitions for Middle School Students

MRIS-46 Gurugram hosted clan competitions for the students of Middle School under various verticals. The event witnessed 100% participation of students. After a year of training under various clan verticals, the students were given the opportunity to participate in the vertical of their choice and interest.

 

SPORTS VERTICAL

 

The Sports Vertical witnessed the maximum participation of students. After multiple heats, participants for the final day were selected for 100 m, 200 m, and relay races along with chess and carrom. Students competed with each other grade-wise in boys and girls category.

 

The Sports Vertical set the tone of the day with a march past. Students marching under the flag of their clan displayed pride and a hunger to score the maximum points for their clan.  This was followed by an oath-taking ceremony where they pledged to participate in a true sportsman spirit.

 

The momentum built up as the races began and peaked at the relay. Students could be seen giving in their best to secure positions as their clan peers cheered for them. The cheers grew louder as the clan teachers enthusiastically joined them in the Tug-of-War. Chess and carrom students to put up a strong fight in their events.

 

The school ground wore a festive look as Water Sharks, Wild Cats, Forest Rhinos and Air Falcons in their different hues competed spiritedly and displayed clan camaraderie. Certificates were given to the winners of the day. Points scored by various clans under various verticals will be collated to declare the Clan of the Year.
