Be Safe on Roads

A student awareness workshop for road safety was organized at Manav Rachna International School, Sec – 46 by team members of Nissan Motors.

The objective of the workshop was to inform students about the traffic road safety rules and the importance of wearing seat belts. Ms Soumya provided guidance to the students by telling them about the safety rules stressing on the importance of wearing a seat belt while driving. It was an interactive session wherein students shared their knowledge and replied to the queries put up by Ms Himanshi, who further informed the students that in case of emergency, the airbags present in the car will work only if the seat belts are worn and that, adherence to the speed limit is mandatory.

Questionnaires were distributed randomly to 40 students who were supposed to solve the questions of section A and then return which was followed by a documentary on precautions while driving and the importance of the click sound produced by the seat belts when we wear them. Post evaluation, section B of the Questionnaires was conducted. The students were asked to spread traffic awareness amongst their near and dear ones. Some of them shared their experiences as well. They pledged collectively that they would always wear their seat belts.

A Drawing Competition on road safety and traffic rules was also conducted wherein students participated wholeheartedly and came up with some interesting drawings.
