“Stories create community, enable us to see through the eyes of other people and open us to claims of others.”

A storytelling webinar for Grade II-IV was organised in association with Macmillan Education by Ms. Soumya Satish, who is an innovative storyteller and language trainer whose expertise is how languages can be introduced to young children. She captivated the students’ imagination through varied expressions, impeccable voice modulation and the diverse stories chosen by her struck a chord with all listeners. Her storytelling skills brought forth the fact that storytelling is a shared experience among all in which the audience is just as active a participant as the storyteller. The unique warmth in the way she narrated the stories drew the children into her stories leaving them spellbound and asking for more. Overall, it was a great learning experience thoroughly enjoyed by all.
