‘My community’ Activity for Grade II

‘My community’ Activity for Grade II

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”- Mahatma Gandhi

The scholars of Grade-II at MRIS-14 Faridabad engaged in a role play activity of community helpers to inculcate the sense of respect and gratitude towards them and emphasized upon their need and importance in making our lives easier. Children participated enthusiastically as community helpers using appropriate dresses, props, and tools.

They presented and discussed their importance in our day-to-day life and also how our life gets affected when community helpers are not around.

Our little shining stars could correlate this with current scenario and lockdown when very limited activity of people was allowed.

The budding stars discussed the role of different community workers (teacher, green grocer, milkman, grocer, doctor, fire fighter) through role play. Our little ones could correlate the role of policemen in current COVID situation from saving people, enforcing laws, taking people to hospitals, serving people in need and celebrating birthdays during lockdown.

Thus, showing their compassion and reverence towards these community helpers, they spread the message of love and warmth towards everyone.
