Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated by the nation to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

MRIS-14, Faridabad virtually celebrated this day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The special assembly presented by Grade V-F (Amartya Sen) was a sincere effort to give a deep insight into the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi. The assembly began with an eloquent thought followed by the acronym of the name Mahatma Gandhi which inspired everyone to be like him and inculcate his values. The virtual interview with Mr. Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, presented by the students was the highlight of the assembly. Through this interview, the young audience was told about Mahatma Gandhi’s path of non-violence and the importance of available resources. This was further related to the current situation wherein many people throughout the world are deprived of even the basic needs. The assembly concluded with the melodious performance by the choir on a beautiful song “Sabarmati ke Sant” which filled everyone’s heart with a feeling of patriotism and gratitude towards Gandhi Ji.

Vice Principal, Ms. Monika Kathuria praised the students and the teachers involved for their commendable efforts being put up in conducting the first virtual assembly successfully.
