We, at Manav Rachna, believe in instilling the sense of belongingness and appreciation towards Indian culture, Indian religious festivals and national festivals along with the awareness and consciousness towards environment. Students of MRIS 21C celebrated Diwali in a unique way, wherein they participated in the rally in the vicinity of school, making people aware about the ill-effects of crackers and using polythene. Students also distributed cloth bags to passerby.
Under the aegis of Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation, students had tried to make someone else’s Diwali also happy by making diyas, wall hangings, candles, Torans to name a few items and sold these items to parents and teachers. The money collected was donated to Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation for further charity. The students and parents participated whole heartedly in the ‘JOY OF GIVING’. Grade VI students enacted Ramayan, completely coinciding with day-to-day life, making connect and explaining them how to imbibe it in their life. Pledge to celebrate green, pollution free Diwali was also taken by everyone present there.
The ambience exuded lot of warmth and love in the air from the doting, zealous grandparents and enthusiastic grandchildren. The day ended with blessings and wishes for Diwali from the teachers.
