We, at MRIS-21C, Faridabad believe that values such as taking care of the environment should be inculcated in children at an early age. We have been discussing with our children about the harmful effects of using plastic, not only on health, but also on the environment. We have also shared with them about the UN initiative ‘Beat Plastic’ which encourages everyone to eliminate single-use plastics by the end of the year 2018. Keeping the same in mind, we planned to take our students of Nursery and KG for a walk around the school for an awareness march. The children along with their teachers marched to make the neighbourhood aware of the same. To further the cause, our students and staff use steel lunch boxes and bottles instead of plastic. This is our endeavour to contribute in our little way.
