Students of MRIS, Noida got an opportunity to be a part of the Model United Nations Conference, 2019 held at City Montessori School, Lucknow, on July 27. It was a two-day conference which provided delegates with an unparalleled forum and a platform to debate pressing global issues.

Some of the committees were UN Security Council, the General Assembly along with some specialized committees like an Open Forum discussing Fake News and a Stakeholder’s Meet deliberating on Secularism in the 21st century as well as agency simulations that are not officially part of the United Nations, but still play a significant role in global politics (such as a Historic North Atlantic Treaty Organization based on the 2011 Libyan Crisis).

The event was graced by Mr. D.P. Srivastava- a flag bearer for UN Peacekeeping and Human Rights, Comedian Nishant Suri, winner of Comicstan 2018 and Indian TV Personality, Neel Madhav who is an Author, mentalist, illusionist and a TEDx speaker.

Ishani Singh of Grade 7 Galileo got a special mention during the conference for her exceptional performance.

It was indeed a wide spectrum of experience, which provided an optimum learning outcome to all the participants.
