Families are like branches on a tree. We grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one.
Children of K.G concluded their theme on ‘All about Me’ successfully with a wonderful theme assembly on Myself and Family. Children gained comprehensive knowledge about themselves and their body parts, their favourite food, color etc and how they grow and change. The children learnt about the different family members, types of families, and why families are so important for us. They also learnt about various emotions and types of rooms in the house.
We tried to instill the family values like respect for elders, time we spend together doing various activities.
Different sections of K.G presented different topics through skit, song and dance. Children came dressed as various family members and enacted a beautiful skit – ‘Family — an inseparable bond’, followed by a dance and a song on ‘This is Me’.
It was a touching assembly as everyone shared the same feeling that love of family is life’s greatest blessing.
