The final round of Inter-Clan Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition at MRIS Mohali enthused the audience on July 24, 2019. The students amazed the teachers and judges with their spellbinding performances. The competition was held among 25 participants from Grade 1 to 8, who qualified the preliminary round (Intra-Clan) on July 17, 2019.
Results:
Group 1 (Grade 1 to 3): First Position- Abhiti (Wild Cats), Second Position- Samridhhi (Air Falcons), Third Position- Vendant and Avni (Water Sharks)
Group 2: (Grade 4-5): First Position- Aarna (Wild Cats), Second Position- Ameenjot (Wild Cats), Third Position- Vainvi (Forest Rhinos)
Group 3: (Grade 6-8): First Position- Aarohi Anchal (Forest Rhinos), Second Position- Hitanshu (Forest Rhinos), Third Position- Vihaan Ajji (Air Falcons)
Principal MRIS Mohali, Ms. Taruna Vashisht stated that “Recitation serves as one of the best confidence boosters. It helps children develop rhythm, phonemic awareness, memorization skills and self-expression, apart from developing an understanding of pitch, voice modulation and intonation”.
