MRIS Mohali organized a ‘Clap Talk – Travellers in Classrooms’ in the school campus. Ms. Anna Samkova from Slovakia was the resource person who interacted with the students and familiarized them about her native country, its culture, music, architecture, education, dance forms, etc. The talk was followed by an interesting quiz about Slovakia and question ball game. The traveller also trained students on few steps of the world famous Ballet dance and the folk dance of Slovakia. The talk concluded with personalized messages written by students on postcards to the traveller.
“Such activities expose our children to cross-cultural communication and acquaint them with the concept of global citizenship”, said Ms. Taruna Vashisht, Principal MRIS Mohali.
