Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana is a co-educational progressive school which provides ample opportunities to enhance the unique skills possessed by each student and makes every child confident enough to successfully face the challenges in life. Multiple Intelligence
Each student comes to a classroom as an individual who has developed a different type of intelligence. Called a learning style, these intelligence domains determine how easily students can learn through a specific teaching method. That is why we include different TEACHING STRATEGIES in the classroom.
We use different teaching methods to make the teaching-learning process interesting, as it helps us to cater the needs of each and every child. We give a chance to all the students to participate in the role plays, which help in building their confidence. We also include personal connection journal, graphic designing, Socratic discussions and co-operative learning in our teaching methodology.
Subjects Offered
We offer the languages English, Hindi, Punjabi, along with French, Mathematics, Computer and other skill-building subjects like visual arts and performing arts along with CREST. The content of the books is age-specific and includes many activities as well. The vocabulary used in the books is age-appropriate and easy-to-comprehend. The integrated exercises in the books provide a hands-on experience to the students. They are trained for decision making through the self-assessment which is provided in the books. The students prepare the charts, models etc in the school itself to reflect their learning which are displayed in the classrooms to motivate the students and appreciate their efforts.
Educational Trips
Education is to impart knowledge to students. Students gain knowledge and upgrade their skills by the knowledge they gain. Educational trips play an important role in educating students in a practical and interesting way. These trips are organised at regular intervals during school hours to give experiential learning opportunities to our young learners.
CREST
CREST is a unique programme developed by MRIS that integrates science and Social science. All children do not learn at the same pace. Knowledge is constructed at individual level. This new curriculum provides opportunities for learners to cement their experiences through inquiry and investigation. It is based on NGSS and CBSE course content. CREST is the curriculum that keeps the learner engaged and focuses on developing 21st-century skills like-Critical Thinking, Collaboration and cooperation, Communication and Creativity. It also infuses the scientific temper in students and foster curiosity, wonderment and a questioning attitude in them. It makes a cross-curricular connect and integrate learning by constructing knowledge through exploration, questioning, observation, making associations, drawing inferences and logical conclusions. The crest assemblies depict the learning of the students and builds up their confidence.

To enhance the reading, speaking, listening skills of the students, various competitions and activities are conducted wherein the students get a chance to think out-of-the-box a little and invite their teacher and fellow friends to enter their own little world for a minute or two. Manav Rachna International School aims at holistic development of the students through a blend of activities integrated with curriculum we offer. Speaking activities boost the confidence level of the students and give them the feeler to communicate their ideas better and also aids in improving their vocabulary and writing skills. We believe that providing these opportunities at a tender age develop students’ ability to express themselves and push them to the next level of understanding and articulacy. The best part of these competitions and activities is that there is 100% participation so that all students get a chance to participate and improve on their grey areas. Students also get a chance to participate in the class assemblies to improve their speaking and presentation skills under the able guidance of the class facilitator. The class assemblies are presented on specific themes through which the student enlighten their fellow friends and add on to their knowledge.

Makershala
Different projects are taken up in MAKERSHALA to boost up the students morale and enhance their capabilities in technical skills. Students made structures using straw bees’ kit that’s how they learn about the architectural skills and structural designing, 3D Electronics drawing through which they learn basics of electronics, paper circuit greetings to grasp the concept of basic circuitry and connections, Self-Balancing toy in which they get to know the concept of Equilibrium. Students also tried to make solar food warmers utilizing the waste wooden pieces and glass sheets to grasp the concept of Energy Conservation and Energy transformation. The shift to renewable sources of Energy has helped in saving the fuels for future prospective and thus the Solar Energy trapped in boxes is used as heat energy. Students enthusiastically embrace their skills.

- Students of Grade I-III participated in District Roller Skating championship,2019 in Ludhiana and bagged Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in various events.
- Tisha Kalsi, Grade II student of MRIS, Ludhiana won Gold at TANGSOODO 10th National Martial Art Championship 2019-20.
- MRIS, Ludhiana students brought laurels from Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex Chess Championship.
- Students won the third position all over the country in the 3rd PATAKO OPEN ALL INDIA KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP in Sep, 2019.
- Aarav Kalra and Meenal Jain credited first place in Punjab Kesri 14th Chess Championship held in Ludhiana in September, 2019.
