Manav Rachna International School echoes a happy work culture and strategies to improve and maintain it. A workshop was organized for the School Transport Staff to motivate, encourage and communicate with them in order to strengthen productivity and improve joyfulness in working. Accomplishing this motive will in turn result in being rewarded with smooth working, happy workplace for all and safe kids.
The session that included a power point presentation by the School Counselor started with appreciation for each member of the team telling them that their presence in the team helps the school run smoothly. Through sharing a real life situation, everyone was brought to an understanding that we all have some limitations and flaws, focusing on them makes situations around us even tougher….. so let us all focus on our strengths and club our efforts as a team. The session focused on:
-Taking accountability of Roles and Responsibilities at individual levels.
– Staying Positive in our approach and attitudes.
– Communication Skills to be practiced with Parents and Students
– Social Skills with Team members.
– Patience and Mannerism at workplace.
– Time Management and Sharing Responsibilities.
– Maintaining a high Self Esteem.
Towards the end of the session, each participant shared their views, which was done to make them feel more comfortable and strengthen communication between the team. This also turned out to be a great opportunity to ask how they think they could do their job better. Ms. Anju Dhawan, the School Principal emphasized the importance of the transport staff’s adherence to be punctual, ensure the buses reach the school on time while prioritizing the safety of the children on board and desist from using mobile phones while driving.
The session concluded, providing positive reinforcement for things that they’re doing right, showing that we recognize their efforts and appreciate their hard work!
