Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana continues with its untiring efforts to provide better learning opportunities for the young minds. The students of Primary Years showcased their learning through an In-house CREST assembly recently. The students presented their learning from CREST to their peers & facilitators by the means of various acts, presentations, show and tell activities, etc.

The young learners of Grade I and II portrayed themselves as the different parts of a plant and discussed their role on Earth. Role play on different types of animals and their feeding habits and movement was displayed. The healthy eating habits along with food nutrients were interestingly portrayed to understand the role of food in our lives. The students depicted the changes around us as reversible and irreversible through the use of various objects.

The students of Grade III discussed about the importance of air, water and soil in our lives. They were able to explain the different layers of soil and types of soil by showing different samples. They even expressed their concern towards AQI (Air Quality Index) and ways to combat pollution. The concept of soluble and insoluble materials was also explained in detail.

The students of Grade IV presented the Solar System and shared their knowledge about the Planets and their characteristics through role play. They shared amazing facts about the Solar system.

The enthusiasm amongst the students of Grade V was not to be missed as they conducted the Election Process in their classroom. The different forms of Government were discussed by citing examples of various countries. They acted as the members of Parliament and presented roles of different organs of Government. The concept of Taxes was interestingly displayed by the young learners.

Overall, the presentations made by the students enthralled the audience and added to everyone’s knowledge bank. Ms Anju Dhawan, Principal, Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana appreciated the efforts of the young learners. She motivated them to display their talents confidently & creatively. The importance of developing an inquisitive mind was emphasised by the learners through this assembly.
