Celebrated ‘The Festival of Lights’

“No matter how little their light is they can still light up the whole world and bring us out of our dark agonies”.

The celebration of Diwali ,’The festival of lights’ came alive at Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana today when the entire school wore a festive look with Diyas and lanterns adorning the corridors in bright colours. The rangoli made by students added the perfect setting to the festivity.

The day started with a Special Assembly by the Primary students seeking blessings of Almighty. Students recited beautiful poems and shared the significance of the festival and pledged to support ‘Green Diwali and Say No to Crackers’. The students showcased the spirit  of Diwali through a mesmerizing rhythmic choreography on Goddess Laxmi Pujan leaving everyone spellbound. Besides sensitizing students to the ill-effects of crackers, they also shared the guidelines on being safe while bursting them.

To keep alive the spirit of sharing and caring the students organized a snack party where in they ensured that first of all they served food to the support staff and exchanged Diwali wishes before they serve themselves. Every individual in the campus could feel the spirit of belongingness to the bigger MRIS family.

Speaking on the occasion the School Principal Dr. Rupali Saini advised the students to imbibe the measure of good over evil and light over darkness. She emphasized that they should celebrate clean and green Diwali by sharing their happiness with the ones who are less fortunate. She also advised them to think about the safety of the environment and keep it pollution free by celebrating this festival with love instead of crackers. She shared a message of celebrating Green Diwali and wished  all a peaceful and a pollution free Diwali.
