A safe and secure environment is a prerequisite for effective teaching and learning. We at MRIS 51, Gurugram ensure safety of children, teachers and staff members. It becomes of utmost importance that safety of children is given due consideration.
It is also made sure that students don’t misbehave with one another. Pushing, hard hitting and the use of inappropriate language are strictly prohibited. Students are encouraged to show sportsmanship and be team players in the playground. The school also conducts regular earthquake drills to make sure that the students know the correct procedure they should follow if it may occur.
Fire extinguishers have been placed around the whole school campus. These extinguishers are regularly checked and replaced according to their norms. The school staff is trained to use the extinguishers, in case of emergencies.
Fire drills are also conducted at regular intervals to make sure that the students are well-equipped with the right knowledge.
We keep the safety of the students a priority even when they are not on the school campus. All school buses are equipped with CCTV cameras, drinking water, medical kit and fire extinguishers. The drivers and conductors of each bus carry a mobile phone that is traceable by the school. They can be reached on their phones in cases of emergencies as well. There is also a janitor present in the buses at all times.
The school campus is supposed to be a safe environment for the students and to ensure that the entire campus has multiple CCTV cameras and strict security in place. I-Cards are imperative to be worn by the students at all times. No parent is permitted to escort a student from the school without an Escort Card issued by the school.
The school follows the ‘Buddy System’, according to which, a student is always accompanied by another to the washroom or to the Doctor’s room. A nanny is always present in each washroom, in order to provide assistance, if the need may arise.
