“I think that the power of art is the power to wake us up, strike us to our depths, and change us.”
Performing Arts provide children with opportunities to experience new ways of thinking. They present different challenges all the time and children have to come up with their own ways of overcoming these challenges.
We, at MRIS, believe that Performing Arts need to form an integral part of the curriculum which allows children to be creative and playful, motivating them to recreate and enact situations taught in the curriculum, using different perspective and modes of expressions to reach a conclusion which in turn builds on their confidence, communication skills along with their creative skills. It encourages children to explore their emotions, expand their imagination and helps them develop their own, unique voice.
We donot underestimate importance of ‘emotional intelligence’, developing a creative mind and fostering personalities and imaginations as our students make their journey through school, to become happy and well-rounded individuals. Students participating in these activities become smart, outspoken, physically strong and very active. Overall, they develop good social and communication skills.
