World Mental Health Week observed

Mental health awareness is an important issue for all educators, who are often the first line of defense for their students. With challenges increasing with every passing year, it is important to make our children not only physically strong but mentally sound and healthy too. Manav Rachna International School Sector 51 Gurugram observed the World Mental Health Week starting from 5th October, wherein sessions on mental health were taken during the soft skills class. The sessions included the importance of using positive affirmation for self, expression of emotions and sharing of thoughts with elders. The students discussed the videos shown on a healthy mind in a healthy body and made posters and wrote slogans on Mental Health.

World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. The sessions were enjoyed by the students and they wholeheartedly participated in the activity and discussion. Students also took a pledge to remain happy and positive while spreading the need to be mentally fit and strong.
