UNSDG Activity for Grade II to VIII (Air Falcons)

“FEEDING AND PROTECTING THE BIRDS IS ALSO A FORM OF PRAYER”

Students of Grades II to VIII (Air Falcons) of MRIS-51 Gurugram participated in the virtual UNSDG activity recently. They reflected the sense of kindness and humanity through their Annual Project UNSDG-1,2,4, i.e. No Poverty, Zero Hunger and Quality Education respectively. It also inculcated the positivity of sharing and caring to bring the change in society.

Excited students of Grades II to V made a bird feeder as a part of their Annual project to express the sense of caring and providing the means to feed the birds. Our motive is to make the students aware and more concerned towards the environment as our natural resources are depleting and many birds and animals are starving.

They made bird feeders using different material easily available at home. They used a variety of recyclable materials available such as egg cartons, plates, wool thread, jute threads etc. Students enjoyed doing this engaging activity virtually and put their creative skills to use.

Students of Grades VI to VIII made a bird house using the old shoe boxes and packing sheets. They took part enthusiastically and spread a strong message that birds are a crucial part of our environment. It is our duty to protect them and help them nurture.
