Grade III students of MRIS-51 Gurugram recently participated in the activity- ‘Walk in the Snow’- under the Tinkering initiative. In this activity, they learned how animals walk in the snow with their broad feet. For this, students took a virtual tour to Oymyakon, a place in Russia. They were familiarized with the difficulties faced by the inhabitants of the place. The students designed different kinds of shoes for the people who live there and also drew the feet of animals. The activity was thoroughly enjoyed by the students. It not only helped them to learn the real-life application and importance of the theories but also developed a natural kinship towards STEAM.
