The Earth Week celebration for Early Years at MRIS-51, Gurugram was packed with fun-filled activities which were focused on sensitizing kids towards conservation of Earth. While toddlers participated in ‘My Blue Earth’ cotton and paper pasting activity; nursery students played ‘Earth Day Fishing Game’ which taught the importance of keeping rivers clean. The kindergartens celebrated Earth’s birthday with great enthusiasm by playing ‘Bouncy Earth’ and making beautiful pictures. Many songs and stories were performed by our little conservationists.
The Primary Years celebrated the Earth Week with an enlightening session on Waste Management followed by a drawing competition from Grade 1 to 8. A special Earth Day assembly prepared by our zestful students included applause-worthy skits, songs, dance, and Nukkad Natak. The week’s clan activities were focused on Earth Day wherein the students decorated the school with Earth Day theme, wrote slogans and performed extempore. The entire school recycled old newspapers to make table mats, bags, hats etc. in their art classes.
Our future leaders were absolutely delighted and charged with great ideas to save the mother Earth.
