Parental involvement is often seen as a cornerstone in a child’s education. It creates ties and strengthens bond with children, parents and teachers.
We at MRIS-46, Gurugram understand the significance of parent-teacher connect. Keeping this objective in mind, Fireless cooking activity was planned for Nursery in accordance with the theme ‘Changes’.
Have you ever heard about Fruit Golgappas, Bread Dahi Bhalla, Banana Lollipop and Coconut Chocolate Balls? When parents were given an opportunity to show their hidden skills, they surpassed everyone and created delectable dishes for the little ones.
The highlight of the activity was to show the permanent and temporary changes in the food. Parents demonstrated permanent changes like sugar when mixed with cream cannot be separated; an apple when cut into pieces cannot be in the same form again. Temporary changes were also shown like toppings on the biscuits can be removed. Children also learn new vocabulary words like coarse, soft, stir etc. It was delightful to see how parents, teachers and children were involved in the activity and explored new things. Children thanked the parents with a Thank You card.
