SEN department of MRIS-46, Gurugram organized “Messy Play Day” for children recently. Various sensory activities were organized like foam painting, blow painting, sensory walk, sand play, etc. Messy play contributes enormously to the development of a child’s cognitive and creative abilities. It allows a child to explore his/her senses.
Messy play is particularly valuable because it stimulates senses. They can feel, smell, see, and sometimes even taste the consequences of their messy active play. Children enjoyed the day to a great extent and took sensory inputs through all activities.
