“Books open your mind, broaden your mind, and strengthen you as nothing else can.” -William Feather

As a part of weeklong Mother’s Day celebration, MRIS-46, Gurugram Library in association with Westland Publications organized an online Author Talk Session for young readers of Grade 7 recently.  Ms Anita Roy, a mother, an author, an editor joined the session on MS Teams from Southwest England. She had introduced her book Gravepyres School for Recently Deceased. To encourage the skills of listening and reading, she read some chapters of her novel and shared some pictures of the journey of the making of the story. This was followed by an interactive question-answer session.

Ms Anita shared with students her life as a teenager, her career path and life as an author. The online Author Talk Session was not just a unique experience for the young students but also for the author herself. Through the engaging discussion sessions, participants enhanced their critical thinking skills, self-esteem and ability to express themselves.
