We at Manav Rachna believe in recognizing and celebrating ability, and to promote this cause on a wider scale, an awareness program was organized by Special Education Department (SEN) to observe the International Day of Persons with Disability which is celebrated on 3rd of December.
Students of Grade IV pulled an exuberant crowd of people towards them with their Musical flash mob at Ambience Mall, Gurugram recently. The program aimed at sensitizing society towards different abilities. The students used their dance movements and expressions to bring across the message of acceptance and inclusion of persons with disabilities. The act endorsed the idea that it is completely okay to be different and people with different abilities are equally competent and deserve dignity and respect in our society.
The students also got an opportunity to present an awareness program at Manav Rachna University, Faridabad recently. The show included dance performances by three different groups of students from Grade II to VII that was packed with energetic movements, and beautifully carried the message of inclusion. It was a great opportunity for children from different classes to mingle and accept each other as unique individuals.
The program was honored with thrilled applauses and positive feedback from the crowd. Students were successful in celebrating diversity in their own innovative way.
