In the past 100 years, the number of wild tigers in India has plummeted by around 95% to as few as 1700 approximately.

Creating awareness about the need to sustain the habitat is one major initiative of STRIPES.

To carry forward this initiative our tiny ones at MRIS-21C embarked on a project to save tigers, the national animal and a symbol of endangered wildlife. They educated their parents, teachers and peers on ways to conserve our pride, and discussed about Government and Global initiatives to save Tigers. They did so through a number of activities including Storytelling and Show and Tell.
