“The larger the island of knowledge; the longer the shoreline of wonder.”
Teaching pedagogy encapsulates the myriad vistas of having the inherent knowledge of life outside the precincts of school. Keeping in mind the inevitable need to acquaint the students with the economic set up of Indian Democracy, a Plantation Drive was conducted in the campus of Manav Rachna International School, Sector 14 by Dr. Aditya Prakash Bhardwaj, Assistant Commissioner, Income Tax, Faridabad. Vice Principal of the school, Dr. Shalini Bindra extended a warm welcome to the honourable guest and other dignitaries.
Dr. Bhardwaj interacted with the students of Grade X and emphasized upon the need of paying taxes, and the nuances of direct and indirect taxes. The students’ queries were satiated with the puissant discussions and practical demonstration of the need of an organized taxation system. The deliberation further led to the clearance of doubts regarding the taxation system of developed countries. The interaction drew to a close with the plantation drive being conducted wherein the sapling planted was interestingly termed as the “Tax Tree” by the revered commissioner who further exhorted the students to tackle challenges and arm themselves with correct and useful information. Vice Principal, Dr. Bindra extended the vote of thanks to the guests for sparing their precious time to address the students, who, in turn felt equally humbled with the brainstorming interlude.
