“School sports – a place where lessons are being still learned, and where athletes still compete for the love of the game and their teammates.”
Manav Rachna International School, Sector-14 organized a three-day Sports Meet for the children of Grade-1. The days were unfolded with bright sunshine, a gentle breeze, and an enthusiastic buzz in the air. The children participated in a wide range of sports events like Football, Cricket and Track events cheered for their teammates and learnt valuable lessons in sportsmanship.
Our first graders competed in various variants of individual races which tested their grit and determination. Scoring a goal, hitting a six or winning a race not only makes a student happy but also boosts their confidence. Kids experienced a feeling of team spirit and took the message home that each sport has a set of rules and regulations which needs to be followed by them to stay fit and disciplined.
In keeping with our partnership with teachers, the teachers of Grade-1 enthusiastically took part in a Track Event Race conducted for them. The ground was filled with loud applauds for the teachers by the students. Everyone went home as a winner having imbibed the spirit of leadership, sharing, team spirit, and tolerance which is synonymous with sports. It was a fun-filled sports meet with happy and vibrant smiles all around. Vice Principal Ms. Monika Kathuria appreciated the active participation infused with energy and thanked all the Sports teachers and Base Group Teachers for their support and cooperation and advised children to keep up their sportsman spirit.
