MRIS-14, Faridabad organized a two-day educational excursion for the students of Grade 4 and 5 to the Pink City Jaipur, where students not only admired the grandeur and beauty of the historic monuments but also learnt many interesting facts about them.

The trip unfolded with the visit to a Sanganeri block printing factory. The students were in awe of the beautiful traditional prints on a variety of fabrics. They tried block printing with different colours and also painted Blue Pottery tiles. Children immensely enjoyed these activities and kept their masterpieces with them as a memento. The first day of the trip ended with a visit to the most enriching place ‘Chokhi Dhani’, where students learnt about the lifestyle of the people of Rajasthan and their culture. They played fun-filled games, enjoyed a magic show, took different cart rides and saw many live dance performances. A grand buffet of the traditional cuisine was a cherry on the cake.

Next day, the group moved towards ‘Jantar Mantar’. The students were amazed to behold the sight of the place and intrigued to learn the methods used to calculate time in olden days. The day unfurled with a trip to Amber Fort wherein the students learnt about its historical importance and were mesmerized by the magnificence of Sheesh Mahal, Dewan-e-Aam, Dewan-e-Khas and Jal Mahal.

As the evening drew nearer, the students bid adieu to the admirable city that envelopes culture, beauty, and tradition of India. They returned with a kaleidoscope of memories and intricate essential learning about the city of forts and palaces.
