As part of the current theme “Houses and homes”, the students of KG at MRIS Charmwood have been learning about various kinds of buildings. As a culmination activity of this theme, the students experienced something interesting and unique — they built houses and colonies with mud and decorated them with flowers, twigs and grass. This activity helped in the development of their fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination as well as language as the children spoke about what they had made. By building mud homes, the students also developed an appreciation of their environment.
