Assembly by Grade VIII to mark Constitution Day

The existence and successful survival of ‘Democracy ‘in such diverse conditions is the most celebrated fact about our country and the constitution is its backbone. To reinforce the significance and importance of constitution the government of India declared 26th of November as Constitution Day.

The occasion was celebrated in all its solemnity when the students of Grade VIII (J.C Bose) at MRIS, Charmwood conducted an assembly on ‘Constitution Day’. The celebration started with very apt words as the thought for the day “The end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom. For in all the states of created beings capable of law, where there is no law, there is no freedom.’’

This worthy thought was followed by a speech on our constitution which took everyone on a journey of the constitution from its history to its present-day form. The assembly ground echoed with the words “We the people of India…………..’’. The students showcased the working of the constituent assembly. Then came the culmination of the ceremony – Rap by students depicting the present-day perception of a common man towards the political situation in the country.

The assembly concluded with the words of encouragement by the Coordinator (Middle Wing), Ms. Geeta Sharma.
