“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” ― The Bhagavad Gita.

Be the Change, You Want to See

In today’s rushed lifestyles, we often hear people going through lot of anxiety and stress. People have forgotten to live a happy and balanced life, with fun and empathy and no room for depression.

The routine of the children of today’s generation is extremely hectic. They have to spend many hours sitting at a desk in school. Back home, again they enter the grinding mill of ‘Homework’ and are pouring over books to finish the daily  assignments, studying and acing numerous tests, participating in various extra-curricular activities, etc. All such activities cause the body and mind to tense up. To add to this, there are social and family challenges, anxiety, bullying and emotional attacks that also take their toll on children.

In this context, there is an urgent need to integrate ‘YOGA’ in our daily routine in order to endorse human values and thereby to reform attitude and behaviour. It relieves us from stress and strain, builds up healthy life-style, shapes high moral character and develops refined personality so as to make up for our complete well-being.

Schools should make ‘Yoga Education’ for children mandatory. This will enhance all the activities of the students, be it academic, sport or social. Yoga techniques and asanas activate improved concentration in studies, better stamina and co-ordination for sports and a heightened awareness and balanced attitude for social activities. It offers children and adults an opportunity to experience success in physical activity, which can help build a foundation for a strong life.

Making ‘Yog’ or ‘Yoga an essential element of our daily regime will bring mind, body, soul and breath together to have a perfect balance within us and will  help to keep our minds calm for our holistic growth. ‘Yog Science’ has multiple benefits for our health. The different poses and postures help massage the organs and strengthen muscles while practicing breathing techniques.  Meditation releases stress and improve immunity.

We at MRIS, Charmwood Faridabad, have inculcated ‘yog asanas’ in the daily routines of our students for healthy mind and body. We ensure that our students are nurtured and their growth is fostered in a positive, healthy environment. We prepare them to combat the challenges of life.

So, a few minutes of yoga asanas daily can be a great way to get rid of stress, both of the body and mind. Ten minutes of yoga and meditation in the middle of a hectic day can boost overall well-being and resilience to stress factors.

Always remember that: Yoga is the dance of every cell with the music of every breath that creates inner serenity and harmony.” Let’s enjoy the music of this beautiful dance.
