“To keep the body in good health is a duty…otherwise we shall not be able to keep the mind strong and clear.” – Buddha
Mr Kandarp Vidyarthi, an eminent orthopaedic and joint replacement surgeon practicing at Paras Hospital, Gurugram and also a parent of MRIS 46, visited the school to conduct an interactive workshop for the students of Grade 5 on the importance of healthy bones. As an extension to the learning of the CREST topic, Muscular skeletal system, he showcased the models of various bones in our body, spoke about their functions and apprised the learners about various bone related diseases. He also gave invaluable tips to strengthen the bones and keep the diseases at bay. It was an enriching session that enabled the students to recapitulate their learning and also gain new insights about the skeletal system.
We are thankful to Sir for taking out time from his busy schedule and making an active contribution towards students’ learning.
