MRIS stands for Manav Rachna International School. Manav Rachna International Schools are a strong network of 8 private, co-educational, English medium, highly progressive schools.

Manav Rachna Educational Institutions launched their first school in 2006 in Sector 21C, Faridabad. However the Manav Rachna Higher Education institutions started in 1997.The Manav Rachna Educationnal Institutions are in their 25th year of providing quality education.

MRIS does not work on franchise system. All MRIS schools are a part of the school chain and are centrally coordinated. This also ensures that there is parity and quality across all schools.

  • Parents need to fill an online admission form available on website https://apply.mris.edu.in/
  • After submitting the form, the counselor will contact you with further details.
  • For Early Years the selection criteria is based on age eligibility and readiness of the child for the class applied for.
  • Selection of students for Grade II onwards is based on written test, previous school result and age criteria.
  • For Class XI, the Class X board result will define the eligibility to the respective streams like Science (medical/non-medical), Commerce or Humanities.

The final step is parents / guardians pay the school fee as mentioned in the admission procedure within three days of selection, through Demand Draft or credit card at the school’s fee counter along with all the documents required.

Yes. Manav Rachna appoints experienced, professionally qualified, passionate and caring teachers. Once appointed, they are further trained and oriented before getting inducted  into the system. Regular in-service training is arranged for all faculty. In-service training too is an integral part of our approach and 50hrs in a year are set aside for Professional Development of Teachers.

Yes, they are all co-educational English medium progressive schools.

At the time of admission along with the admission fee, first quarter fee is also charged. Fee for the remaining three quarters is payable as follows:

  • SECOND QUARTER: July 1 to July 15
  • THIRD QUARTER: October 1 to October 15
  • FOURTH QUARTER: January 1 to January 15

The basis of quality at Manav Rachna International Schools is the comfortable teacher student ratio. The student strength section wise:

  • Early years – 1:25
  • Grades 1 & II – 1:30
  • Grades III to V – 1:32
  • Grades VI to XII – 1:34
  • With the activity teachers/ class associates and the specialized coaches the ratio falls in 1:10 to 1:15
  • 3 passport size color photographs of the child.
  • 2 passport size photograph of each parent.
  • Child’s Aadhaar Card copy (Mandatory)
  • Address proof (photocopy of the ration card/electricity bill/ telephone bill/rent agreement)
  • Photocopy of report card of the previous class passed (applicable for students seeking admission to Grade II and onwards).
  • Photocopy of birth certificate.
  • Transfer Certificate, where applicable. 

The mode of quarterly fee payment is  DD/ Credit Card/Cheque/NEFT/PayTM/ Easy Pay ICICI (please check with the respective school for the mode of payment)

Regular Parent Educator Conferences (PEC) are conducted on alternate months to discuss the progress of students with their parents. In case a parent wishes to interact with the teacher, he/she may seek an appointment and do so.

As a parent of MRIS, you are expected to identify with the school’s philosophy that centres around the holistic development of its students. Regular Parent Orientation and awareness sessions are hosted so that the parent and the school foster a healthy long term relationship. You are requested to attend all school events like the PEC, Theme Assemblies, Events and Special Celebrations. With a rich pool of knowledge experts available with us in the form of our parents, we encourage our parents to share their knowledge and resources with the student community.

Day to day communication with the parents is through the Parent Portal. Parents can also email or call at the school number and get in touch with the teacher..

  • The entire school premise is under 24/7 CCTV surveillance.
  • The live videos are monitored in the surveillance room, Principal’s room and the Executive Director’s room.
  • All our buses too have functional from and back cameras.
  • Junior and Senior school wings/floors are separate and monitored as well.
  • Only female housekeeping staff is employed inside the school building. Peons are only for office work/pantry.
  • The early years students are assisted by nannies in their movement.
  • All washrooms are manned by nannies.
  • Entry of drivers and conductors inside the school building is prohibited.
  • Visitors’ entry into the school premises is only after filling of the Visitor’s Log. Wearing of Visitor I-Card is mandatory. Vendors are allowed in school only after school hours
  • The school infirmary has a qualified doctor and a nurse on board and has been ably handling medical issues/emergencies.
  • All required NOCs are well in place and reviewed timely.
  • Safety sessions are conducted for children to guide them well about the importance of forming a queue while boarding a bus and how to embark and disembark.
  • Transport is equipped with all the safety equipment like fire extinguishers, first aid box, lockable windows, GPS and automatic doors.
  • A nanny, a teacher and a bus attendant accompanies the students in the bus on to and fro trips.
  • Regular cleaning and disinfecting of the buses is done to maintain good hygienic conditions at all times.
  • Centralised internal audits are a regular feature.

Safety measures taken in the present times include

  • Infrared Forhead Digital Thermometer at the school entry gate.
  • All entries inside the school premises are scanned.
  • Once inside, the entrant is requested to sanitize their hands.
  • Sanitizers available in floors/corridors are a constant reminder too.
  • All standard SOPs are being strictly monitored and followed by the school.
  • The school doctor along with all teachers are vigilant and students showing any sign of fever are sent home/isolated immediately.
  • Constant reminders of using sanitizers, wearing masks, maintaining a safe distance, not sharing personal items/food are being given by all teachers.

No. Parents do not have access to CCTV footage. The live videos are monitored in the surveillance room, Principal’s room and the Executive Director’s room. However, under Principal’s discretion, the recording is shared under special circumstances.

Complete Theme Planning is shared with the parents which includes a theme letter, a parent handout, vocabulary list along with a suggested activities to be done at home to help reiterate the concepts that the students are learning in school. Daily/weekly updates of the work done is shared with the parents.

Homework / Supplementing Activities help to consolidate and reinforce learning done in school and allows children to practice learning independently and in different contexts. It also helps promote a partnership between home and school. Assignments are age appropriate and meaningful with focus on repetition and practice. Till Grade V, a homework schedule is followed which helps reiterate learning and develop study skills in students. Grade VI above homework is planned thoughtfully with staggered submission dates.

The school does not follow a formal assessment scheme for students till Grade IV. However, regular formative assessments ensure student evaluation and help monitor progress. Gap areas are identified and corrective measures taken. Scheduled and calenderised tests for students are conducted from Grade V. Grade VI onwards school follows the CBSE assessment scheme.

Assessment on Microsoft Teams are being smoothly conducted since 2020.Assessment involves both Objective and Subjective components.

Till Grade IV the school does not follow a formal announced system of assessment and evaluation. However the school has ongoing formative assessment built into the system of teaching learning. Recap worksheets, application based tasks, collaborative tasks and projects, quizzes, show and tell and other such subject enrichment multi modal activities help monitor students’ progress.

Yes. The school has a qualified doctor and attendant available in school on all working days. The school infirmary is well equipped and adept to handle regular medical cases and provide first aid. The school doctors not only take care of the day to day medical needs, but also help generate awareness around medical issues and organize wellness based workshops and camps for students, parents and faculty.

With schools reopening and gradually getting students back into its fold, Manav Rachna is trying to strike a balance between offline and online classes. Days have been fixed for offline classes and while teachers are engaged with students in school, assignments are given to those still hesitant to come to school. Depending on the age appropriateness, synchronous and asynchronous classes are held online and offline.

The teaching learning process at Manav Rachna is based on not just the child’s mind (cognitive learning) but also affects his heart (affective learning). The journey from receiving knowledge to processing and internalizing it includes student motivation, attitudes, perception and values.  Individual and group discussions on value based questions and open ended questions, case studies, role plays, journaling, simulations, critical questioning, student led events, interest based activities, collaborative tasks which are all embedded in the Manav Rachna curriculum help ensure affective learning.

The face of sports, music and dance classes too have changed over the last year and a half. Teachers and students have adopted to the online mode and have beautifully utilized the space to their advantage. The digital medium has given them a platform to explore various art forms- including digitized, create and edits videos and focus on individual stamina building. Teachers are also available beyond school hours for students who wish to pursue further in their areas of interest. All festivals and events are celebrated with online participation of the students.

The announcement of NEP 2020, more than bringing about a change in us, reiterated and assured that Manav Rachna Schools are already progressive and futuristic in their approach. MRIS CURRICULUM

The school curriculum from Early Years is child centred. The Learning Centre Approach makes it  joyful, play based, experiential and flexible. A comprehensive and structured reading programme with emphasis on the phonic method, ensures language development and makes early reading possible.

FUTURISTIC APPROACH

MRIS has integrated a holistic program named Future Skills & Sustainability (FS & S). The basis of this futuristic program is founded in E2030 Position Paper on the Future of Education and Skills, OECD, The Future of Jobs Report 2020, World Economic Forum, UNESCO – Future of Education Initiative and NEP 2020. The program will be implemented through different verticals of Tinkering (based on UN Sustainable Development Goals), Coding & Technology (ICT Foundational Learning), Media & Design and AgriTech. CREST

Conceptual Learning through Reasoning, Exploration, Skill & Technology (CREST)- Inter Disciplinary Curriculum (Science & Social Science). It aims at instilling 21st Century Learner Skills in children, motivating them to inquire as a means to seeking answers. The effective instructional strategies and pedagogical practices aim to create unique and engaging learning experiences for children.It gives children the opportunity to explore the world they live in with a sense of sustained awe and wonderment that motivates them to inquire. The child-centered strategies provide opportunities to learn through experimentation, investigation, demonstration and application.

INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

We believe in addressing the specific learning needs of every student. The Special Educators work closely with educators and offer to bridge this gap between classroom learning and the student’s challenges by offering I.E.P.(Individualized Education Programmes) for each individual student to be monitored by the special educators. The specially-trained educators & counselors work towards students’ abilities and needs. Hence, at MRIS we take each student by the hand to further his skills and soar into the horizon of seamless possibilities.

PERSONALISED ATTENTION

With the class size and student teacher ratio optimum, our teachers are able to build a good rapport and provide personalized attention to its students. Circle time, class incharge’s period, lunch break and other such open time slots help the teachers to know their students better and address specific- academic, social, emotional- needs.

The Life & Career Development Centre works closely with Students from Grade VIII onwards. The program is a balanced blend of informed career counseling, choice making and 21st century desired life skills. Comprehensive psychometric testing, student profiling and portfolio building, industry awareness and connect, and university advisory are some areas that the program works on.

An academic Excellence Programme is offered to academically inclined students of the Middle and the Senior School. The primary focus of the programme is to provide academic rigour and train students for competitive and benchmark tests.

All 21st century skills are an integral part of our curriculum. Throughout the academic life students have enough opportunities to learn and exercise the 21st century skills of communication, collaboration, creativity, problem solving, digital literacy leadership, adaptability and self management.

A mind that is stretched by its own experiences can never go back to its old dimensions. Manav Rachan schools were always technologically advanced, even before the pandemic hit. In fact this comfort with technology, experienced by students and teachers, was one of the reasons why we could instantly switch over to the online mode. With students and teachers exposed to an altogether different level of technology now, it is here to stay even when normal school resumes full-fledged. While a lot of written work in school will resume, online researches and assignments will be additional features. School is also contemplating on allowing students to carry their devices to school.

Leaders of tomorrow are groomed today. MRIS provides opportunities to students to be a part of the Student Council and develop their leadership skills. As the Junior and Senior School Head Boy and Girl, Clan Leaders and Student Catalysts, they lead their teams and initiate events. Students actively participating in various clubs, MUNs and student led events sharpen their leadership skills as they plan events and work with students teams.
