“Fairness is not giving everyone the same thing, fairness is giving each person what they need to succeed”
The Child Development Centre (CDC) at MRIS, Charmwood was set up in 2014 with the aim of providing an inclusive environment for children with mild disabilities and to those who need social and behavioral counseling, and acts as a full-fledged support system for these children. Our admission policy requires parents to declare if their child or children have any special learning needs. Apart from normal admission tests, the school also requires standardized assessments (psycho-educational reports) to assess the needs of a child and to see if she/he would benefit from the programme.
Parents and guardians play a key role in the emotional, social, and academic development of a student with difficulties. Every effort is made to work in close collaboration with them at every stage. Considerable attention is paid to the child’s overall development and progress. It is the school’s aim to fully involve each child and develop the child’s self-esteem in the school.
The specially-trained educators and counsellors work towards students’ abilities and needs; contributing to their academic, social and behavioral development.
