Order and Sequencing Activity by Kindergarten

Order and Sequencing Activity by Kindergarten

Understanding sequences of events helps children recognize patterns and make sense of the world around them. Through sequencing, they can learn how to follow directions and understand why events happen in a particular order. One real-life application of sequencing and ordering was conducted for kindergarteners. They understood the concept by following a recipe for sandwich. Students chose the ingredients of their choice such as ketchup, cheese, sliced vegetables, jam, and loaves of bread. The little ones used ingredients in order and place them in a sequence to prepare a sandwich. Teaching kids to prepare their own sandwich grows their confidence, sense of independence, ordering & sequencing, and make healthy choices within certain parameters.
