SPORTEK 2019-20 for Toddlers-Grade II

“You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.” — Michael Phelps

The students of Toddlers to Grade II at MRIS Charwmood celebrated this determination and focus by participating in the Mega Event Sportek 2019-20 recently.  The event was graced by Mr Daniele Di Spigno, double trap world shooting champion from Italy; Dr Sumit Arora, HoD Sports Injury and Rehabilitation at Manav Rachna Sports Science Centre; Ms Nisha Bhalla, Executive Director, MRIS Charmwood and MRIS 21C; and Ms Sanyogita Sharma, Director, MRIS, among others.

The programme started with Sporty Skill-o-Walk by Early Years. This was followed by Yoga, Taekwondo and Gymnastics presentations by students of Early Years and Primary wings.

The children were happy to be a part of presentations like “Hoppity, jumpity in the garden”, “Joyful hues”, “Tricky tricks with hoopla” and “Colorful flutter” along with races like “Match the  candy race”, “Makershala race”, “Frosty winter race”, along with flat races, relay races and hurdle races.

There were indigenous games like “pitthu”, “pahiya khel” and “stapoo” to name a few for members of the audience. These were enjoyed by one and all.

The young participants were delighted to be a part of this sporting event — a first for many of them and were very happy to receive medals for athletic events.

Here are a few glimpses from this exciting day!
