Primary school years are the most formative years; what students observe, how they behave, and how they interact with others during these years carry on into adulthood.
Ensuring very positive and happy imprints on their personalities, a counseling session on Self-esteem was taken up by the school Counselor, Ms. Geetanjali Kalia for Grades IV and V, to facilitate positive thinking, building up self-esteem and resilience in kids. The session was planned and conducted to build up self-esteem as it is an incredible component of successful performance in life. Through storytelling and certain activities, the session aimed at helping students to practice self-acceptance, focusing on the individual’s self-perception that foster the skill of self-reflection, enabling students to evaluate their own actions and pinpointing the attributes or habits which need improvement.
The school Principal, Ms Anju Dhawan appreciated the efforts of the school counselor and students for their active participation and encouraged them to get out of their comfort zones, challenge themselves and be their own critics.
