“Safety is something that happens between your ears, not something you hold in your hands.”

As parents, safety is one of the biggest factors which concern us. It is important to educate our children about the types of touches from Early Years itself as these are the formative years for them. Kindergarten at MRIS-51 organized a session on ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch’ wherein the kids were sensitized about many terms, some of which included ‘people in your safe circle’ and ‘stranger danger’. They were also told to say ‘NO’ loudly in case of danger or awkward situations, not to accept sweets from anyone, and that Mom and Dad are the safest people to touch you, etc.

The children were receptive and engaged in the session to learn more about this crucial topic.
