MRIS-46, Gurugram hosted the 9th Inter Manav Rachna Sports Championship Prize Distribution ceremony to felicitate the students who excelled in various sports events like Shooting, Skating, Swimming, Table Tennis, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Football, Gymnastics, Carom, Badminton and Taekwondo. The winners across all MRIS branches along with their mentors attended the event.
The Guests for the event were District Sports Officer Ms. Raj Yadav; Mr Sarkar Talwar, Director Sports MREI and Ex Deputy Director Sports (Haryana); and District Sports Deputy Superintendent, Ms Renuka. The ceremony commenced with the welcome address by the Director Principal Ms Dhriti Malhotra followed by a well synchronized and graceful dance performance. The Guests gave away certificates, trophies and as many as 625 medals to the young achievers for their admirable sportsmanship. Trophies were also given for all the 12 sports events.
The honourable Chief Guest Ms Raj Yadav in her address appreciated the unstinting efforts of the children, encouraged them to inculcate sports in their lifestyle and take it up as a career. She reiterated that sports play a pivotal role in teaching values like discipline, responsibility and self- confidence.
